Dear EBMA and AMSE Conference Participants
This is my great pleasure to welcome you to our conference hosted by the Medical University of Lodz. I am especially happy to see a success of my initial idea- a joint conference of two leading European organisations focused on medical education- European Board of Medical Assessors and Association of Medical Schools in Europe. I hope that this is not only the beginning of the further collaboration but also the real-life, best practice example how we should communicate and cooperate at individual, organisational and international levels, aiming to achieve our common European and global goal of health of people, animals and ecosystems. Both AMSE and EBMA activities are focused on multiple strongly related areas including assessment, evaluation, quality assurance and organisation of medical training. I would like to encourage all participants to go beyond the comfort zone of their expertise, and to participate in sessions provided both by AMSE and EBMA.
I am sure that this conference will not only provide all of us with new knowledge and skills and will form a forum for our discussions but also will result in new cooperation, projects and friendships. Moreover, I hope that we will be able to reflect on medical assessment and our own practice from the wider perspective, to better understand where we come from, where we are now, and where we are going.
Dr. Janusz Janczukowicz
